Surprise – House Democrats display another shocking example of raw hypocrisy.
Hammering on Attorney Gen’t Sessions, Rep Conyers (D) asked “In a functioning democracy, is it common for the leader of the country to order the criminal justice system to retaliate against his political opponents?” (Sessions predictably said ‘no’.)
The AG should have said – ‘WELL, IT WAS COMMON FOR OBAMA TO DO IT.’
(Recent discoveries have exposed Obama’s 8 years of weaponizing federal agencies, from the FBI, CIA, and NSA to the IRS and ATF, in his attack against Republicans.)
Conyers was trying to establish a false premise to inoculate Hillary Clinton from any of her actions, falsely asserting any investigation would be political retaliation against an opponent, when the truth is many of her activities during and after office are suspect.
More House Democrats piled on that false premise, but facts are stubborn…especially when evidence shows Hillary’s cozy relationships insulated her from prosecution.
As Gregg Jarrett succinctly points out “This is not retaliation, as Conyers would have people believe, but the enforcement of laws unimpeded by political motivations. Clinton is not exempt merely because she ran for the presidency and lost.” (emphasis added)
Some argue that a special counsel is not required, but the attorney general vowed to recuse himself from Clinton inquiries, re emails/Foundation…so we’ll see.
Bottom line – new revelations on Comey’s questionable conduct during the email probe and $145 million dollars pouring into the Foundation during her official secretary of state reign (with Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein et al elbow deep) beg the question…
…was the AG’s vow based only on the facts as they existed at that time, or…
…does the Sessions ‘vow-to-recuse’ pertain, if new inculpatory evidence is in play?
As for Democrats’ decrying the President directing federal law enforcement agencies, their sad lack of knowledge, vis-a-vis, anything Constitutional, is pathetic. Somebody needs to take their hand, lead them gently off into a corner…
…and tell them “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed“ means what it says.
Finally – Message to Republicans:
Stop letting Democrats ‘set the table’ on important issues with false premises.
