No surprise that the President worked a deal…he’s a businessman

Looking for all the political answers to why the President worked a deal with Democrats on a temporary debt ceiling situation is a complete waste of time…he’s not a politician.

He’s – first and foremost – a businessman, and uncertainty raises havoc with business.

Of course he cut a deal. Trump’s the epitome of ‘It’s the Economy, Stupid’.

The fact he did it with Democrats just gives him more leverage with Republicans, since 1) he’s displayed he’ll do what he has to do to get things done, 2) let’s face it, he also gave Republicans political cover, because many voters don’t like debt-ceiling hikes, and 3) the economy benefits with CERTAINTY as we voyage into a touchy holiday season.

Stop analyzing his moves through a purely political lens…he’s not a politician.

He’s something much more effective – a businessman with extreme political power.

A thoughtful argument for the DREAMer cause

Judge Andrew Napolitano’s Washington Times op-ed“Morally, most of the beneficiaries of DACA are fully Americanized young adults who know no other life but what they have here and have no roots in the countries of their births. Many are serving the U.S. in the military. Constitutionally, DACA has effectively been in place since 1986, and 800,000 people younger than 40 have planned their lives in reliance upon it. Legally, once a benefit has been given by the government and relied upon, the courts are reluctant to rescind it, even though the 5th Circuit showed no such reluctance.

Economically, the summary removal of more than three-quarters of a million people from the work force would have serious negative consequences for their employers and dependents and for delicate economic forces, and there would be negative economic consequences to the government, as well, as each claimed hardship case — each person whose deportation is ordered — is entitled to a hearing at the government’s expense.”

BlueCollar opinion? Any anger or retribution for this situation should be leveled at the politicians and leaders who created this mess, not those who find themselves living it.

…and now Obama’s AG Eric Holder demonstrates his ignorance (or deceit)…

File this under ‘YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP.’

We know Liberal media provides an astonishing level of deference to the Democrats, but for the Washington Post to publish Eric Holder’s blatantly dishonest opinion of the decision President Trump made to rescind Obama’s unlawful Dream Act is a new low.

To see Eric Holder’s op-ed as being disingenuous toward Americans would be too generous…we think DISRESPECT toward Americans would better describe this drivel.

Setting aside Holder’s typical, predictable effort to re-define ‘prosecutorial discretion’, his op-ed is a teachable moment on how Liberals flat-out lie and expect us to take it.

Setting ‘enforcement priorities’ may be a point worth dancing around, but to admit that his boss Obama then allowed work permits – while implying this didn’t exceed the limits of Obama’s constitutional powers – is either breathtakingly obtuse on Holder’s part…

…or he thinks Americans are that breathtakingly obtuse and will believe him.

Call us cynical, but we’re sure the latter alternative is in play. Holder, Obama, and the Washington Post et al see the law…and Americans…as theirs to toy with.

“They are not and should not be defined by their immigration status”???

If that’s not an open-borders concept…nothing is. And, oh, by the way Mr. Holder…

…just a friendly reminder….

…your boss Obama had to ‘define’ them that way…to target them for his policy.

A previous BlueCollar post pointed out that Obama-&-Co, by defending their actions, could be construed as them openly accepting totalitarian acts by future presidents…

…we wonder if Mr. Holder would be so obsequious to a Trump act of this nature?

SCARY – California’s attorney general is ignorant of Constitutional law

California’s Idiot-general…errr…attorney general: Trump rescinding DACA is ‘unlawful’ and ‘unconstitutional’, and threatens to sue the administration over that act.

(Of course, he didn’t explain ‘why’…because he can’t.)

Such is Democrat Ideology…writ large.

We’re not sure what’s worse…how scary it is to hear a state’s top lawman admit he’s constitutionally illiterate, or the frustration to know California tax-dollars will be wasted because the state’s top lawman is posturing for his future election aspirations.

(Let’s face it – California’s political demographic isn’t going to change anytime soon, so he’s not just posturing for near-term support or advantage…this is a long-game move.)

You get what you vote for…unless you’re in the political minority.

Tyranny of the Majority is alive and well in California.

In one Facebook post, Obama made the case for totalitarian rule…and the media’s ok with it

We’re not sure how to unwrap this HUGE event. On the one hand, we would love to see President Trump throw a little totalitarianism at the Democrats and their Left-wing media masters…on the other hand, we honor a constitutional republican form of government.

When Obama went on a Facebook rant yesterday (backed up by sycophant journalists and major network media), decrying President Trump’s decision to rescind DACA and ask the Congress to do its job, he unwittingly sanctioned totalitarian rule in America…

…and the FakeNews media exposed itself as endorsing the same.

A president’s job is clearly defined by our Constitution, to take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” NOWHERE in that document does it state he can make law. And those who claim (as Obama does) he was merely exercising ‘prosecutorial discretion’ deceitfully conflate that act with writing new immigration law, which is what he did.

This is not a hill the Democrats and the Left want to die on. Open that door, and they’ve made the case for President Trump to pen sweeping anti-abortion edicts, voter-id laws, nation-wide open carry gun laws, and even (let it be done!) term-limits in Congress.

‘Cuz, in the untouchable manner of the great Obama, he’d just be doing what Congress won’t, using a Democrat-version of prosecutorial discretion that seems to have become the FakeNews media’s imprimatur in these United States as we currently know it.

BlueCollar doesn’t endorse such acts, but DAMN, it would be fun to watch a squirming media mewl and whine when the hypocrisy of their position is turned full bore on them!

Much as the anti-Trumpers rage, this President has not acted outside the realm of the Executive Branch, and its role as defined by our U.S. Constitution…

…YET.

Creating victims, then rushing in to protect them, is what Democrats do

Illegal immigrant Dreamers are just the latest in a long line of victims Democrats create in order to rush in and protect…without victims, they’d have no message at all.

So, yes, now we have approx. 800,000 illegal immigrants with Obama’s DACA amnesty protection as a result, supposedly ‘children’, supposedly innocent as the driven snow. Regardless of what devious mechanism or chicanery got them here, they’re here. So now, the question is what is the most appropriate thing to do about the situation?

Robert Rector, an authority on immigration and welfare programs, offers insight.

Renowned economist Milton Friedman stated an undeniable fact, that it was impossible to have an open immigration policy and a welfare state without the system imploding.

What many don’t understand, or ignore, is that U. S. citizenship opens the door to a wealth transfer system, where taxes on the upper incomes support benefit programs, and an open immigration policy soon over-burdens such an income redistribution.

Add to that the necessity which dictates such a strain on government requires it to grow disproportionately, making any attempt at ‘limited government’ a forlorn memory. (Not that any Democrat would have a problem with that, but Republicans should.)

The estimable Rush Limbaugh has suggested allowing Dreamers to stay, but tempered with a strong dose of High Wall borders, and rounding up others not implicated in DACA and deporting them, along with the law-breakers among them. And enforce existing law.

Right on cue, the Left will begin the keening wail ‘what if the deportees are DACA family members’, tugging heart-strings to imply it’s our responsibility not to tear families apart. But we don’t have to – let those age 18 and over who are allowed to stay choose if they want to go back with their families, or stay. Those under 18 should go with the family.

BlueCollar believes the only reason for such Democrat misdeeds where immigration is concerned revolves around their desire to cultivate a voter base that depends on the government’s generous benefits program. As such, rewarding Democrats by allowing a pathway to citizenship and voting rights guarantees their behavior will not change.

We strongly urge that, if a program such as the one Rush espouses is enacted, those immigrants choosing to stay can have alien resident rights, but not voting rights. And before the Left gets their panties in a bunch, remember that there are millions of alien residents living here already, who do not have the right to vote in American elections.

Thus, the Democrat modus operandi is rendered ineffective, and you can bet if such a solution is adopted it will defuse future machinations to similarly relax immigration laws.

And, finally, politicians, remember your oath of office. Keep your promise.

Strong laws.

Strong borders.

Honor and uphold our Constitution.

End of discussion.

The more you learn, the more you realize Sheriff Arpaio was politically targeted…and richly deserved a pardon

Investor’s Business Daily has a great piece on the pardon of Sheriff Arpaio, and anyone arguing the pardon was not deserved either doesn’t know what they’re talking about…

…or doesn’t care about such things as integrity, honor, or common decency.

In brief, the Arizona sheriff was hounded unmercifully by Obama’s Dept of Justice; the judge was a self-confessed hater of the 85-year-old Arpaio, and should have recused himself after such an admission. If that wasn’t reason enough, the fact that the judge’s brother-in-law worked for the law firm that represented the other side of the lawsuit brought against Arpaio…a clear conflict of interest…should have sufficed.

Next time you hear anyone talk trash about the President’s decision to pardon Sheriff Arpaio, ask them how they would feel being persecuted under such circumstances.

The real ‘cruelty’ of the Dream Act was Obama illegally offering it

So, the bleeding-heart Left is aflutter, and celebrity billionaire Mark Zuckerberg offers his insight without acknowledging the real cruel villain in this mess…Barack Obama.

Note the pattern…from Obamacare to tax policy to immigration chicanery, Democrats ‘break the china’ and Republicans, simply trying to clean up the mess, are vilified.

Of course, no one mentions labor-intensive industries (like Zuckerberg’s) would love to have as many illegal immigrants as possible flooded in…it depresses wages and the benefits traditionally offered, because these new workers will do the job for peanuts.

But, setting aside the profit-motive of such cynical-minded corporate types, knowing the law is being flouted and bringing in victims of such action is an evil in and of itself. Then, to hypocritically label those trying to fix the mess as ‘cruel’ is their ultimate audacity.

But, what does Zuckerberg care…his operating costs stay low…

…right down there with his motives.

On the other hand, why let him and his corporate-crony ilk off the hook?

No, let’s not set aside the greedy, because greed drove this from the beginning. Who among us believes, if there was no profit motive, DACA would have been pushed on?

The real ‘cruelty’ of the Dream Act was Obama illegally offering it…

…AND the dollar-hungry who ENCOURAGED it.

Obama shows his disdain for our Constitution, its principles…and Americans who revere them

As expected, Barack Obama went on a rant today, following President Trump’s decision to let (Obama’s) unconstitutional DACA process wind down over the next six months.Let’s be clear: the action taken today isn’t required legally. It’s a political decision, and a moral question.”

Let US be clear…he’s a constitutional scholar, and that sentence is nothing but a LIE.

No president has the power to trample on the Constitution. His fawning sycophants on the Left and in the Democrat hierarchy may tremble at his brilliance, and his media masters pulling the strings will brand his logic inviolable, but he’s a LIAR.

The so-called ‘Dream Act’ conferred legal immigrant status, and allowed employment to a class of people not eligible for those benefits…as defined by LAW…and, to imply curtailing that illegal process was purely political is an egregious partisan ploy. He may not agree with the Constitution, but as president Obama swore to preserve, protect, and defend it…and, even now, shows no remorse at violating that sacred oath.

He even acknowledged before enacting DACA that he had NO authority to do so!

Obama knows the law, knows the Constitution, and knows he violated it…which makes his statement today a DESPICABLE LIE of enormous proportion.

PERIOD.

FULL.STOP.
