Illegal immigrant Dreamers are just the latest in a long line of victims Democrats create in order to rush in and protect…without victims, they’d have no message at all.
So, yes, now we have approx. 800,000 illegal immigrants with Obama’s DACA amnesty protection as a result, supposedly ‘children’, supposedly innocent as the driven snow. Regardless of what devious mechanism or chicanery got them here, they’re here. So now, the question is what is the most appropriate thing to do about the situation?
Robert Rector, an authority on immigration and welfare programs, offers insight.
Renowned economist Milton Friedman stated an undeniable fact, that it was impossible to have an open immigration policy and a welfare state without the system imploding.
What many don’t understand, or ignore, is that U. S. citizenship opens the door to a wealth transfer system, where taxes on the upper incomes support benefit programs, and an open immigration policy soon over-burdens such an income redistribution.
Add to that the necessity which dictates such a strain on government requires it to grow disproportionately, making any attempt at ‘limited government’ a forlorn memory. (Not that any Democrat would have a problem with that, but Republicans should.)
The estimable Rush Limbaugh has suggested allowing Dreamers to stay, but tempered with a strong dose of High Wall borders, and rounding up others not implicated in DACA and deporting them, along with the law-breakers among them. And enforce existing law.
Right on cue, the Left will begin the keening wail ‘what if the deportees are DACA family members’, tugging heart-strings to imply it’s our responsibility not to tear families apart. But we don’t have to – let those age 18 and over who are allowed to stay choose if they want to go back with their families, or stay. Those under 18 should go with the family.
BlueCollar believes the only reason for such Democrat misdeeds where immigration is concerned revolves around their desire to cultivate a voter base that depends on the government’s generous benefits program. As such, rewarding Democrats by allowing a pathway to citizenship and voting rights guarantees their behavior will not change.
We strongly urge that, if a program such as the one Rush espouses is enacted, those immigrants choosing to stay can have alien resident rights, but not voting rights. And before the Left gets their panties in a bunch, remember that there are millions of alien residents living here already, who do not have the right to vote in American elections.
Thus, the Democrat modus operandi is rendered ineffective, and you can bet if such a solution is adopted it will defuse future machinations to similarly relax immigration laws.
And, finally, politicians, remember your oath of office. Keep your promise.
Strong laws.
Strong borders.
Honor and uphold our Constitution.
End of discussion.
