So ‘subsidies only for state-exchanges ‘ was leverage…before it wasn’t…?

O’care architects used subsidies to force states into creating exchanges.

BlueCollar has asserted this previously; now uncovered videos confirm it.

Obamacare apologists are running around, now busily trying to recreate history, saying that ‘of course Congress (Democrats) didn’t mean it, this was just a typo.’

But one of its most credible authors, an MIT professor, said the subsidies for state-built exchanges only was intentional, meant to force GOP-run states to build exchanges.

The professor openly stated this, in prepared remarks, to several different groups. He’s trying to recant this now, but these inconvenient videos can’t be dismissed easily.

President of Honduras confirms border chaos is Democrat-created

Finally, a Central American leader has the guts to define the border-chaos problem.

It’s “the lack of clarity … the ambiguity (in the U.S.A.)… that has become the hallmark of the policies and the debates… on the question of immigration reform.”

He doesn’t come right out and say ‘Democrat’…

…but if you remember that it’s Republican policy of ‘secure borders first, the missing clarity and deliberate ambiguity is owned by one Party…Democrats.

They’ve stalled every GOP legislative attempt to strengthen border security; Obama refuses to enforce laws on the books, and writes executive orders enticing chaos.

There’s no question about it…

…President Hernandez doesn’t say ‘Democrat’, but he doesn’t have to.

A lapdog media won’t point it out, but everybody knows it…or should.

For any kind of hopeful future, California needs to swing GOP again

From Crescent City to Chula Vista, and all points in between, every concerned citizen of the Golden State needs to sharpen their GOP message with friends and neighbors.

Even low-information voters will understand that, if businesses continue to leave CA, there will be less revenue coming in to satisfy entitlements, and everyone suffers.

Other states are pointing the way…Wisconsin, Louisiana are getting deeper red, and the GOP leadership in state gov’ts are slowly, surely, correcting Democrat failures.

The same can be done here in California, if Republican leadership returns.

Developing…

Time to make a Liberal put his home where his mouth is

Call it a ‘trial period’…Liberals want illegal children to stay…so let them foster the kids.

Maryland Governor O’Malley can show the way, by opening his home to the illegal kids he seems to be so concerned about…on his salary, he can afford to foster 3 or 4 easily.

And since he’s (no doubt) deeply emotional about this issue, we assume he’d be more than willing to take on the most disease-ridden, as they’re the most needy of the lot.

In all fairness, these uninvited ‘guests’ from Guatemala and Honduras should be taken in and cared for by those who say illegal kids should be welcomed with open arms.

Time to hold Liberals to their word…let those ‘open arms’ advocates open their homes.

When black is white and night is day…and words have no meaning

When Democrats and their lobbyists wrote Obamacare law, they wanted to make it a slam-dunk, by offering tax-credit subsidies only to those in exchanges set up by states.

The tax-credit subsidy language is specific, offering subsidies to individuals who buy health insurance through exchanges “…established by the State under section 1311”.

Democrats were sure that popular demand would force states to toe the line. But 36 states opted out anyway, forcing the federal government to set the exchanges up.

Obama and his HHS minions (illegally) issued subsidies in those states anyway, and in addition, (again, illegally) held businesses accountable through fines for noncompliance.

A 3-judge panel from the DC Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that action illegal.

But, before declaring this an Obamacare ‘deathblow’, understand that another Circuit Court of Appeals (in a separate case) just ruled what Obama’s HHS is doing is legal.

Incredibly, that Court found “established by the state” language as… ambiguous.

?

There are only two types of exchanges that can be set up under the law…those of a state-created nature, or those of a federal-created nature. Ambiguity isn’t possible!

It was a Democrat-appointed court that ruled Obama’s federal-exchange subsidies legal. So, once again, political appointees to a Court rule by ideology, not law.

In a Rule of Law society…when words have no meaning…there is no law.

That’s where we live now.

Why the surprise Obama reneged on our 1994 Ukrainian treaty?

Really…why the surprise?

Obama’s already established he doesn’t enforce laws he doesn’t agree with.

Many may be unaware that, in the early ’90’s after the Soviet Union breakup, the “Ukraine was the third largest nuclear power”, behind only Russia and the USA.

That state had been a major repository of Soviet Union nuclear warheads, and when the Soviet bloc disintegrated, Ukraine was sitting on a serious pile of weaponry.

It agreed to give up the warheads when the USA and Russia promised to protect them.

Remember his aside to Medvedev? Fast-forward to 2012, when Obama told Russia’s Medvedev (in an ‘open-mic’ moment) he’d have more flexibility after his re-election.

So, earlier this year, Russia invaded Ukraine, violating the Budapest Memorandum… and Obama – despite renewing that same 1994 treaty – left Ukraine to its fate.

Surprised? What did you think Obama meant by ‘flexibility’?

KNOW THIS – Every ally America has is rapidly re-evaluating it’s ties with us.

America’s Promise: Drive it like you OWN it

An article by Kevin Williamson at NRO nails it on essentials of a decent society.

“The irreplaceable basis for a prosperous and decent society is property.”

When we truly own something, we cherish it, care for it, and maintain it.

But, when it comes to America’s Promise…Democrats drive it like they stole it.

We no longer own anything – the government owns us…

…and that’s when groups like the Tea Party say NO MORE.

Even more lost emails at the IRS? Jail the spoliators until emails are produced

Seems uncommon crashes are a common occurrence…when Lois Lerner’s involved.

Surprise, surprise…more computer crashes and emails lost…all tied to Lerner. It’s obvious that the IRS executive and her IRS cronies are obstructing justice.

Time to start playing hard ball.

In such instances as this, courts will rule ‘spoliation of evidence’, which “…occurs when an individual or entity violates its duty to preserve relevant evidence.”

(Besides, the ‘hard-drive crashed, lost my emails’ screed isn’t enough: IRS workers are also required, by law, to keep printed backup copies of all IRS-related emails.)

A court will assume that the ‘lost evidence’ would have been unfavorable to offending parties, and, therefor, justifiably presume guilt based on spoliation of evidence.

The law is clear, the acts were undeniably obstructive.

For their actions, every IRS employee involved should be held behind bars until the emails are presented to the court (or Congress).

If they can jail reporters who are merely protecting their sources…

…they can sure as hell jail IRS officials who are trying to hide their misdeeds.

As noted (here, and here), lower-level conspirators would have surely kept records to protect themselves, in case their boss tried throwing them under a (Congressional) bus.

A taste of prison food could be just the right motivator for producing ‘lost’ emails.

Invariably, one of the worms will turn.

(UPDATED – added link to IRS manual section requiring emails be printed)

Shouldn’t that be a ‘homicide’ donkey…?

Brits have strange ideas about donkeys, if they think suicide is a concept embraced by that four-legged species. ‘Suicide’ implies intentionally taking one’s own life.

So when you see “Donkey suicide bomb stopped by Israeli troops in Gaza”

…you have to ask (1) does a donkey understand the concept of taking its own life?, if so, (2) how did it strap the suicide vest on, with hooves and no opposable thumbs?

If the terror group Hamas loaded a donkey with explosives and sent it towards Israelis it would have to be considered a homicide donkey…and a victimized one, at that.
