The President has offered an immigration plan to Congress that puts major emphasis on border enforcement, and closes loopholes in order to more tightly control the issue.
Naturally, the opposition Party’s major proponents of lax security feel he overstepped, protesting ‘it’s the job of Congress’…blithely ignoring that Congress – particularly those in the Party objecting now – has disregarded (or flat refused) that ‘job’ for decades…
…and that Party had no problem…when Obama overstepped with DACA.
Anyone with an ounce of common sense would have to agree that it’s perfectly logical to ask the people who have to enforce immigration for their input on how best to do it.
Of course, with THIS opposition Party…common sense doesn’t apply.
VP Pence left an NFL game after players took-a-knee during the National Anthem.
Now, the FakeNews crowd is attacking him for pulling a political stunt, which evidently means the media believe being patriotic and respectful to one’s country is a stunt.

Report: now that California has a sanctuary-state policy, Immigration Customs & Enforcement (ICE) will now “…have to go directly into neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces to apprehend illegal aliens.” That means whole families will be nabbed.
California’s deceitful Democrats may have done the state a big favor.
“Governor Jerry Brown’s decision to sign SB54 and make California a sanctuary state for illegal aliens – including those who have committed crimes – will undermine public safety and hinder ICE from performing its federally mandated mission. The governor is simply wrong when he claims otherwise.
SB54 will negatively impact ICE operations in California by nearly eliminating all cooperation and communication with our law enforcement partners in the state, voiding the delegated authority that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has under the 287g program, and prohibiting local law enforcement from contracting with the federal government to house detainees.
ICE will have no choice but to conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites, which will inevitably result in additional collateral arrests, instead of focusing on arrests at jails and prisons where transfers are safer for ICE officers and the community. ICE will also likely have to detain individuals arrested in California in detention facilities outside of the state, far from any family they may have in California.
Ultimately, SB54 helps shield removable aliens from immigration enforcement and creates another magnet for more illegal immigration, all at the expense of the safety and security of the very people it purports to protect.
Despite the severe challenges that this law creates for ICE, we remain committed to our public safety mission and we will continue to do our sworn duty to seek out dangerous criminal aliens and other immigration violators. ICE seeks straightforward cooperation with all sheriffs and local elected officials. This misguided legislation will severely undermine those efforts.”

Speaking for BlueCollar, we’d rather watch replacements who may or may not be at a lower skill level in the NFL, but will show proper respect to their country and its flag.
Until proper respect is restored, there’s no reason to watch an NFL game.
Left-wing diatribes against 2nd amendment right to bear arms are ignoring or forgetting a very crucial, innate element of our human condition – the SURVIVAL instinct.
Government doesn’t ‘give’ us the right to survive, any more than it ‘gives’ us a right to bear arms – it affirms and ensures those rights as intrinsic to the nature of our being.
America is founded on the premise that we citizens ‘give’ government the right to exist, and that concept is unique in the world – or, at least it has been until now. Therein lies our belief in American exceptionalism – foundational not because of some radical type of patriotic fervor, but from the fact as citizens we allow our government to function.
The Democrat-Left want a different America, where government allows us to exist; if for no other reason than that, main-street Americans must fight their ‘transformation’ effort.
Basic truth: a government that can give anything, can take away everything. In that reasoning, what American allows their survival to be at the whim of such a construct?
Simple logic tells us that man can survive without government, but government can’t survive without man. Thus, the essential factor in this formula is ‘man’, not government.
Following to a logical conclusion, then, survival being the essential factor for ‘man’ is key. This is why the 2nd amendment is an affirmation…not an authorization.
Illustrations of Democrat-Left failed logic abound – using Chicago, as a tragic example. Toughest gun-control in the Nation, with a resulting disgraceful violent gun-crime rate that annually reaps a devastating whirlwind of 600-700 deaths.
Survival is a God-given or (if atheist) Natural right…not a Democrat-Left given right…
…unless, of course, you don’t mind your city becoming Chicago-like.
NRO’s Kevin Williamson gets close in discussing an essential nature of the right to bear arms, with an interesting read, but fails to understand why the Founding Fathers placed the right to bear arms on “…equal footing with freedom of speech and freedom from arbitrary government violence…” He sees it as a complicated question; we beg to differ.
The answer is simple, Mr. Williamson – ‘survival’.
For the Democrat-Left, maybe it would have been better if the Founding Fathers added that little factor to the Constitution, because they seem to have overlooked that concept.
But we can make an argument that it is included, if time is taken to read its Preamble:
“…in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…” Surely not even a hard-core Left winger believes such actions can be accomplished merely through wishful thinking?
And, judging by the Black-Lives-Matter/Antifa violence, they must understand that when local law enforcement can’t (won’t?) protect us, our last line of defense is Colonel Colt.
Our survival instinct is a very powerful thing, and if we do, in fact, have an ‘unalienable Right to Life…then we have the right to protect it when governments fail to do so.
And we’re confident that if you threaten a Left-winger’s life, they’ll exercise that right too.
Unless, of course, they see violent Chicago as their idea of ‘domestic tranquility’.
Pondering the imponderables, one must ask – how does a Left-winger embrace a serial liar like Hillary Clinton and yet claim a moral high-ground calling Donald Trump a liar?
How can a Democrat Party that has destroyed the black American family through subtle entitlement welfare and wiped out their self-image through identity politics and victim-hood demagoguery, claim any higher authority in calling Donald Trump a racist?
How does any Liberal who turned a blind-eye to Harvey Weinstein’s flagrant abuse of women with serial sexual harassment for decades get to label Mr. Trump ‘misogynist’?
How does any Leftie/Liberal/Democrat who watched Obama trample the Constitution for 8 years somehow claim their lofty perch from which to call the President totalitarian?
They have no integrity to condemn their own serial abuses, and deserve no voice. And a FakeNews media that enables such behavior should be dismissed and shunned.

A Democrat senator suggests the Vegas dead would tell GOP to dump the NRA.
Without knowing if the Vegas shooter was an NRA member, we would have to simply declare that the NRA never has, and never will, advocate mass murdering innocents.
We suggest, however, that Democrats would be well advised to channel the voices of the 58 MILLION abortion dead, who would demand dumping Planned Parenthood, an organization that OPENLY advocates the deaths of the innocent unborn.
And what of the (approx) 60 monthly dead killed in Chicago? Does Chuck hear them? Gun laws in Illinois are some of the toughest in the Nation; doesn’t do them much good considering they have the highest city gun-crime rate in the United States.
(We’re betting, if THOSE dead could talk, they’d demand ‘open carry’ laws be put in place when you consider the lowest gun-crime rates are in open-carry areas.)
When it comes to recriminations from the dead…Democrats whistle past that cemetery.
And THAT’S a lot of whistling, but, never fear, with the hot-air inside that Party…
