How can Stephenopoulos continue as ABC ‘news’ anchor?

When you give over $75k to the Clintons, you can hardly claim objectivity.

Grimy George hid his Clinton-cash caper from ABC, and the public at large.

But then, in his capacity as ABC News’ chief anchor and political correspondent, sought to discredit the Schweizer book that revealed Hillary’s cash dealings, during the interview citing Democrats who dismiss the author as a Republican operative.

Ironic…a partisan ‘news’ hack…caught giving thousands in cash to the Clintons…

implies someone else has got partisan interests?

How is it ABC hasn’t fired this guy?

(UPDATED) ABC could go for a twofer…fire this guy, and hire Rush Limbaugh…they would have an anchor with no hidden agenda, and their ratings would skyrocket.

What part of ‘media bias’ don’t pollsters understand?

Agonizing over why pollsters have been so wrong of late, a respected analyst now suggests the solution may be to go back to live interviews for better results.

In a world where media bias rules, does anyone think that solves their problem?

A previous blog noted media bias will motivate secrecy, thus defective polling.

Odds are, those wanting to hide their leanings in a phone interview will be even more likely to hide them in a personal interview….if willing to interact at all.

Good luck with those public interviews.

In the meantime, it would be a lot more useful to consider not allowing polling results to be publicly announced through the media while polls are still open.

At least then no one can make a case for the media driving election results.

Benghazi bluster – the CIA guy wanting it both ways…says critics can’t have it both ways

The CIA deputy director at the heart of the Benghazi fail disaster has written a whitewash…errr…memoir…about the ‘details’ of what happened in Libya.

And…of course…during and after, nothing he did was wrong or misleading.

His memoir cherry-picks supportive data, and never mentions contradictory data.

But, as the estimable Stephen Hayes notes in The Weekly Standard, Morell attacks his critics, writing ‘they cannot have it both ways’, using data that “fits their narrative and rejecting from the same source what does not.”…which means…

cherry-picking data, and never mentioning contradictory data.

Scary reminder: did we mention this guy was a deputy director of the CIA?

There’s ambulance-chasers, then there’s crisis-chasers

No sooner did the Amtrak crash in Pennsylvania than crisis-mongers began their expected rant over infrastructure spending and stingy Republicans, but…

…’infrastructure’ spending doesn’t look like the cause of the crash.

First indications are the train was speeding over 100mph on a 50mph curve.

Americans are disgusted over shysters who chase ambulances…

Hopefully, they’ll feel the same way about these crisis-chasers.

Will today’s America fail the Greatest Generation?

Many define the Greatest Generation as those Americans who came of age during the Great Depression, and fought World War II with productivity and U.S. military.

Victor Davis Hanson, premier historian, writes of the achievements during WWII.

Anyone who doubts America’s exceptionalism should read the article, as should those who want to renew their belief in the system our forefathers wrought.

In a brief 763 words, he encapsulates all that was great about that generation…

  • Productivity ramped up to manufacture a B24 heavy bomber every hour;
  • A single shipyard mass-produced Liberty merchant ships every 7 days;
  • In 4 years, the U.S. produced more planes than all combined war powers;
  • The U.S. supplied 400k trucks, 2k locomotives, 11k railcars, and billions of dollars of warplanes, tanks, food, clothing and strategic resources to Russia;
  • During 1943-44, America supplied 20% of Britain’s munitions;
  • By 1944, our 6000-ship U.S. Navy had become the world’s largest;
  • From rifles to fighter planes to aircraft carriers, our weapons were best of class.

…all achieved by a Nation scarcely 160 years old. (By contrast, France was 1100 years old, England about 950 years old by the start of World War II.)

(If someone says America isn’t that great, Mr. Hanson’s article proves otherwise, with this riveting narrative of what democracy and a free market can accomplish.)

Question: will today’s generation meet today’s global challenges similarly?

Pollster contortions – When ‘push’ comes to polling…

Great Britain’s latest election defied pollsters, with a huge conservative win.

Even expert American pollsters got caught in the web. Nate Silver was one of them, and after bombing in his predictions, claimed problematic survey use and ‘herding’.

Voters are aware of media bias – it’s no surprise they’re secretive how they voted.

What is surprising? How many ‘expert’ pollsters don’t seem to realize that.

Guess who commits 53% of murders, 40% of cop-killings in the USA…

Despite the daily (lying) media hype over young black men brutalized by cops…

…despite the fact blacks make up just 13% of the American population…

that segment commits 53% of all murders, and 40% of all cop-killings…

…and are 10 times more likely than whites to commit violent crime.

If the media really wanted to protect young black men, they should give the succinct advice so effectively summarized by Jim Carrey’s role in the movie ‘Liar, Liar’.

(Warning to Liberals…strong language)

The only reason why the State Attorney charged 6 Baltimore cops…

Baltimore, like many large cities in Democrat strongholds, is a result of bad policies.

Bad Democrat policies.

The six officers in the Freddie Gray matter are being charged because then a JURY takes heat for exonerating them…local and state politicians walk away untainted.

Sometimes, even the most perceptive don’t effectively connect the final dot.

There’s just one reason why that State Attorney charged 6 Baltimore cops…

…deflecting blame.
