Understanding media FakeNews distortions explains CNN’s misreporting of Dr Fauci interview

Anybody remember this joke about anti-Trump media? If Donald Trump walked on water across the Potomac, FakeNews would report it as ‘President Can’t Swim’

That appears to be the context in which CNN’s interview with Dr. Fauci was reported after it concluded on Sunday. CNN took Fauci’s ‘…sure, if mitigations had happened sooner fewer people would’ve died…’ and distorted it to report Trump failed Americans.

They took a theoretical generalization, and deceptively turned it into a real failure.

Those who took to the airwaves this morning calling for the President to fire Fauci need to take a close look at what CNN asked, how Fauci answered, and what CNN reported.

(Rush, sounds like that includes you, too.)

Fauci knows what HE was saying back in January and February. Specifically, he said as late as Feb 29 that Americans didn’t need to change their lives and habits drastically.

He was quoted widely on several occasions in late January that Americans had nothing to fear from this new Wuhan Flu virus, and there was no need to unduly panic people.

The President invoked a travel ban from China at the end of January…5 weeks before Dr Fauci was still saying in late February that Americans didn’t need to curtail habits.

We’ve posted his CNN interview below. As you’ll see when reading it, Fauci NEVER stated recommended specific actions that weren’t accepted, just generalizations, but that’s all CNN needs in order to repaint the canvas with anti-Trump brushstrokes.

Note that the doctor never specifically mentioned dates WHEN recommendations were made, or specifically if/when the recommendations were not accepted. CNN in their most ‘helpful’ anti-Trump manner, broadly reports what the doctor NEVER said.

That’s how it works with FakeNews…so give Dr. Fauci a break, okay?

Fauci’s Comments (generalizations CNN used as realities in bold/underline emphasis):

“I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives,” Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” when asked if social distancing and stay-at-home measures could have prevented deaths had they been put in place in February, instead of mid-March.
“Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those decisions is complicated,” added Fauci, who is a key member of the Trump administration’s coronavirus task force. “But you’re right, I mean, obviously, if we had right from the very beginning shut everything down, it may have been a little bit different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down back then.”
Asked why the President didn’t recommend social distancing guidelines until mid-March — about three weeks after the nation’s top health experts recommended they be put in place — Fauci said, “You know, Jake, as I have said many times, we look at it from a pure health standpoint. We make a recommendation. Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes it’s not. But we — it is what it is. We are where we are right now.”

Anyone else find it odd that leaks DISPROVING charges of Trump-Russia collusion never occurred?

3 years after the Mueller special counsel appointment, we’re now hearing of this data or that testimony which would’ve blown the Left’s collusion charge completely apart?

Why is it there were any number of leaks falsely putting President Trump under a cloud, but there were never any EXONERATING leaks that could’ve evaporated the cloud?

So, the guy who ignored realities of Wuhan-Flu while implausibly impeaching 45, is investigating 45?

Democrat congressman (yeah, writ small) Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee responsible for oversight to ensure our national security takes top priority with intelligence agencies, ignored those duties to push a SHAMpeachment scheme.

Yet, has the gall to accuse someone else for what he himself is guilty of committing?

“Schiff: I Am ‘Diving Deeply’ into What Warnings Trump Ignored on Coronavirus”

This is the same guy who, along with his Democrat cohort, reviled President Trump as a xenophobe and racist when he initiated January travel restrictions with China?

The record clearly shows the President was a First Responder to the Wuhan Flu…

…and clearly shows Democrats ignored the initial warnings of a danger.

Which means Schiff should ‘deep dive’ into their failure to act.

Figure the odds of that happening…

Over-inflated means just that…OVER-inflated

Liberals continue to scream about our posts calling WuFlu deaths over-inflated.

As reported by a doctor: “…under the CDC guidelines, a patient who died after being hit by a bus and tested positive for coronavirus would be listed as having presumed to have died from the virus regardless of whatever damage was caused by the bus.”

(bold, underline emphasis added)

Don’t blame the BlueCollarPerspective…CDC has set the guidelines.

Yeah, we mean what we post…OVER-INFLATED.

The silver lining in all the WuFlu fear-mongering…?

Yes, folks, there is a bright side to this hoax of fear-mongering by the Left and their media masters…as it continues, EVERY POLICY they push will go up in flames.

  • Open borders (as opposed to healthy immigration standards)?
  • Congested public transit (vs healthier private transportation)?
  • Forced city living (vs wide open suburban sprawl)?
  • Crowded public schools (vs school choice & home-schooling)?
  • Reusable plastic bags (vs cleaner, disease-free disposable)?
  • Costly China pandering (vs fair-&-equitable foreign trade practices)?

We could go on, but the picture’s clear…

…their policies are rife with unhealthy and costly consequences.

Sure – as with all flu, Wuhan Flu is serious, but we predict…when the dust settles…

…it will be revealed that the number of deaths were wildly overinflated…and when properly adjusted…were no worse than what we’ve seen in a bad flu season.

The fabricated hysteria over this Wu-Flu event was for the sole purpose of furthering their Big Government ideal, and diminishing/delegitimizing Pres. Trump in the process.

(And never forget federal assistance $$ that flow to states supposedly ‘hardest hit’…is it any surprise they will end up virtually all being Democrat-held/controlled states?)

Americans were lied to throughout this ordeal; a panicked crowd is easily stampeded in such instances, and the more reliant they then become on Big Government, the better.

If Big Gov’t is such a great thing, why the need to deceive us…to get it accepted?

Going forward, the only question should be ‘How Big, the BACKLASH?’

“Doctors believe coronavirus was present in California as early as December”

“Doctors believe coronavirus was present in California as early as December”

We’ve been making that point for months…

…in which case, why still California doom-&-gloom directives by Democrat leaders…?

The numbers don’t add up, and haven’t since this whole media-fed panic-fest started.

There’s no way New York, a state with one half the population of California, can have 15 times the deaths of California…unless WuFlu passed through California months before.

(Before they started tracking it as WuFlu.)

And don’t try suggesting ‘mitigation’ activities like social distancing played a role: New York started such restrictions just two days after California set them in place.

Two days would not make that much of a difference in death totals. As of this posting, New York has 9385 deaths (California has 633): NY has 8 times the number of cases.

We said it before, we’ll say it again: The.Numbers.DON’T.Add.Up.

Which begs the question…

…why is California Democrat leadership forcing its citizens to cower?

An inevitable result of hysteria-driven pandemics…the ‘bubble-wrap’ diagnosis

“Fauci recommends people don’t shake hands ‘ever again’ after pandemic”

What’s next, never hugging your kids? Never kissing your wife/husband? Wrapping up in bubble-wrap before taking a walk or drive? How is such idiocy given any credibility?

Seriously…this is the guy whose every advice is eagerly implemented?

OK, he’s an expert on infectious diseases.

But if his solutions are comparable to an expert on transportation safety saying, to avoid traffic accidents, never drive or ride on public roads again, do we act out such ideas?
