When up is down and good is bad…it must be a poll

When it comes to creating a Deep & Boiling Anger…trust NBC to show us how.

(Ed. note: If you’re not reading Issues-&-Insights daily…you should be.)

Polling got you down? Here’s why: “Americans Feel Better About Race Relations, And Other Trump Poll Results The Press Doesn’t Want You To Know About”

“How do you cover a poll that shows satisfaction with the economy, despite all the harrumphing about an impending recession, is much higher than it ever was under President Barack Obama? Or reveals that views on race relations are actually better today than three years ago? Or shows that most think the political system is being shaken up in a good way? Answer: You don’t. That is, if you’re a mainstream media outlet and the poll is your own.”

Instead, you pull poll numbers out of context, to make issues look dark. Case in point:

“Here’s the scary headline NBC News ran on the poll it conducted with the Wall Street Journal and published over the weekend: ‘A deep and boiling anger: NBC/WSJ poll finds a pessimistic America despite current economic satisfaction.’ The really important finding, according to NBC, was that ‘70% of Americans say they’re angry at the political establishment.’ But it turns out that this anger level is unchanged since October 2015. That means the ‘deep and boiling anger’ was happening under Obama. Why isn’t that the headline?” Of course, we all know the answer to that question, right?

When an entire context of a poll doesn’t give a desired result, just delete the context.

Class dismissed.

(It’s well worth the time to read the entire article.)

Here’s a challenge for Never/Anti-Trump’ers, that they’ll grimly avoid

The inestimable Victor Davis Hanson asks today at NRO: “Trump — or What, Exactly?”… it’s a biting piece comparing what he’s done as opposed to Democrats.

The challenge for voters who rail against Pres. Trump comes at the end of the article:

“…we are told that the boisterous Trump, our first president without military or political experience prior to his election, has disgraced the office. In his 30 months since January 2017, how exactly has he done so, at least by the somewhat low bar of past presidential standards? Did Trump conduct liaisons in the presidential bed or restroom or office in the manner of liberal lions such as FDR, JFK, or Bill Clinton? Did he habitually use the N-word or expose himself to staffers, as did the great civil-rights icon LBJ?

Is his terminal health condition now kept from the media in the conspiratorial fashion of Woodrow Wilson or FDR?

Is the Trump Foundation flush with infusions of hundreds of millions of dollars, as was the case with the Clinton Foundation during Hillary’s tenure as secretary of state? Does President Trump have a tendency to get handsy at public events, or come up behind female teenagers or blow in their ears à la Vice President Joe Biden? Did he weaponize the IRS, the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA the way Obama-administration officials did to sabotage a political opponent’s campaign? Has Attorney General Barr surveilled the communications of AP reporters in the fashion of Eric Holder?

Or perhaps Trump’s twitter crudity is shocking given the sober comportment of his current would-be presidential opponents. Has Trump, then, promised to take Joe Biden behind the gym and physically beat him up, or warned Cory Booker that in a testosterone rage he would beat him up too, as both have bragged about doing to Trump? Did he whip racial animosity in the manner of Elizabeth Warren by falsely alleging that the Ferguson shooting, thoroughly investigated by the Obama Justice Department, was murder?

Has Trump punned about Kamala Harris not coming out of an elevator alive?

Did he egg on Johnny Depp, Madonna, and a host of other creepy celebrity has-beens to brag about the ways to assassinate a president? Would current Democraticprimary leader Joe Biden be willing to take the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test, given to Trump (who aced it) to remind his critics that he was not demented as they serially alleged?

The progressive party, many past presidents, the media, and Hollywood didn’t need to be schooled by Donald Trump on the arts of crudity, unprofessionalism, and unethical behavior. So what we need are not more pathetic abort-the-Trump-presidency melodramas, or ethical sermons from the abjectly unethical, or “Trump is the worst” this or that from historically ignorant pundits.”

(all bold, underline, color emphasis added)

At the end of the day, Trump critics, it’s just about him being in power…NOT YOU.

And that’s why we don’t expect any honest debate on real issues, from you haters.

‘Cuz you’ve got…N-O-T-H-I-N-G.

CNN defines ‘getting all the liars in the same (news)room’

Disgraced liar Andrew McCabe (former acting FBI Dir) is going to work for CNN, joining disgraced liars Jim Clapper (former Dir Nat’l Intel) and John Brennan (former CIA Dir).

This is a classic example of getting all the liars in the same room. Where’s Jim Comey?

(UPDATE Aug 26 – oops, we goofed: Brennan was signed up by MSNBC, not CNN. Oh well, it would be easy enough to substitute ‘FakeNews’ for CNN in our title line, just to keep it accurate, but what the heck…this way, they can blame us for Fake News.)

Baltimore…the poster-city of a Party failure

‘Stupid is as stupid does’...tell that to the voters of failed Democrat-run cities.

Nothing screams failure like Baltimore. “Baltimore has the highest homicide rate among America’s 50 largest cities and the second-highest violent crime rate overall, according to FBI data released in September 2018. There were 342 homicides in Baltimore in 2017, which works out to 56 per 100,000 people residing in the city. On 24/7 Wall Street’s list of the most dangerous cities in the country, Baltimore ranked 3rd, behind 1st-place St. Louis, Missouri and 2nd-place Detroit, Michigan.” (emphasis added)

And, as the President pointed out recently when Cummings insulted border conditions: “Baltimore’s numbers are the worst in the United States on Crime and the Economy. Billions of dollars have been pumped in over the years, but to no avail[,]” the president wrote on Twitter July 29. “The money was stolen or wasted. Ask Elijah Cummings where it went. He should investigate himself with his Oversight Committee!”

When your buddy asks ‘why vote Republican?’ you can respond by citing Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit, St. Louis, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Los Angeles…

…what better reason?

FakeHistory lunacy of latest Leftie race-baiting efforts renders them vulnerable

To ‘reframe’ American history, the NY Times has introduced their 1619 Project, which is designed to establish America’s founding as the year slavery first came to Jamestown.

Never mind that Jamestown was an English settlement at that time; never mind that, as a settlement, it was founded in 1607; never mind America’s founding began in 1776…

…the NY Times project isn’t about accuracy – it’s about stirring up minority anger and resentment before the 2020 electionDemocrats rely on victim-hood to get out votes.

Faking history is the only strategy available to accomplish that goal.

REAL history tells us America’s founding was 1776; and abolition began soon after.

An article at the Federalist lays out the case in very clear terms: will it matter?

Does anyone care if Founder documents stated ALL men are created equal; or that legislation by Congress in 1780 banned Americans from employment/investment in international slave trade; or that the 1787 Northwest Ordnance banned slavery in territories that would become Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin?

Congress banned American ship participation in slave trade in 1794; Congress banned importing slaves starting in January 1808; eight eastern-most American states (NY, VT, NH, MA, CT, NJ, PA, RI) legislated abolishing slavery in 1804…

…and hundreds of thousands gave their lives to end that slavery evil in a Civil War.

Our ancestors ended slavery less than 90 years after America was founded. In contrast, it took England hundreds of years, from the 15th century to 1834, to end slave trading.

DEMOCRAT slave states, on the other hand, fought to protect slavery, established the KKK as their militant extension, invoked Jim Crow legislation, fought to suppress black voting and perpetuate segregation…using vile intimidation tactics.

REAL history is a condemnation of EVERYTHING Democrat.

For FakeNews, is it any wonder, then, that Fake history is an essential necessity?

How hard will it be to push back on the NY Times, et al…?

Told you 3 years ago…Benghazi & Hillary emailgate are interconnected

Judicial Watch is still fighting to get answers on Hillary’s emails, and that fight has extended to exactly how her private email system may have compromised Benghazi.

We’ve been posting for three years that very contention, based on inside sources.

Heads should roll, but fighting DeepState delay tactics is a never-ending process.

Hopefully, the real story will finally come out…

…and it won’t be pretty for Democrats because it’s been all about giving them cover on unsecure email usage (allegedly) prompting the Benghazi assault, killing 4 Americans.

Unsecure email usage, we might add, that included Obama’s private accounts as well.

Stay tuned folks.

Is it really ‘detainment’ when those held can leave anytime…to go back home?

It begs the question.

A court ruling (labeled ‘Flores’) says illegals with kids can only be detained 20 days.

We learn today that the Dept of Homeland Security has set up regulatory work-arounds to be able to avoid the necessity of releasing illegal immigrants into the United States.

“DHS Issues Regulation Closing the Flores Catch-and-Release Loophole”

That’s all well and good, but the deeper question remains: Is it really ‘detainment’ when one can leave anytime…if illegals with kids choose to go back home?

After all, ‘detain’ is defined as ‘to hold or keep in or as if in custody’

…but, if they can leave at any time voluntarily to return to their homeland…

…they AREN’T detained, simply deterred.

But, that said, the ‘work-around’ being set up by DHS involves licensing holding centers.

(The Flores decision specifies 20-day release from non-licensed facilities.)

Heads on the Left must be exploding at this point.
