Wesley Pruden, editor emeritus at the Washington Times, has died at the age of 83.

No finer epitaph can be written than the Times’ opening paragraphs: “The venerable Washington Times editor, columnist and journalism institution was found dead Wednesday morning at his home, his passing coming hours after putting in a full day at the newsroom on New York Avenue in Northeast, where he had worked since 1982, four months after the newspaper’s founding.” (bold emphasis added)

Somehow, we always knew he’d finish that last ‘full day at work’.

We found his work to be (always) penetrating, thought-provoking, and objective.

Traits sadly lacking in most of the mainstream media today.

Rest-In-Peace, Wesley Pruden…you will be missed.

Honest debate is dead. Liberals LIE: it’s in their DNA…and they do it so easily.

Whether it’s outright lies, or the use of false premise/accusation/equivalency…they lie.

Does it matter? Is truth outdated, when an issue has no supporting alternate logic?

Does it matter the President really said a congressperson making vile comments about America should go back to their failed country, fix it, then come back and tell us how?

Does it matter the Left says he just said ‘go back’…then scream RACIST?

Does it matter in his ‘fine people on both sides’ Charlottesville remark he said he’s “…not talking about neo-Nazis and white nationalists…they should be condemned…”?

Does it matter the Left says he INCLUDED those groups…then scream Bigot?

Does it matter the President objects to vile anti-Semitic and anti-American remarks?

Does it matter the Left compare Jews to vermin, and Border Patrol agents to Nazi death squad troops, then say it’s no worse than anti-slavery or women-voting rights rhetoric?

Whether by outright falsehood, false premise, false accusations, false equivalencies…

So, the story’s really about a Democrat House condemning the President for defending America from hate-filled anti-Semitic, pro-terrorist, anti-USA talk by 4 of its members.

Boiled down, the President merely said those who come from failed countries should first go back and fix their countries, then come back and show us how it was done.

That isn’t ‘racist’…that’s a direct performance-based challenge.

Here we are, America, the most powerful, successful Nation in the world, and somehow we’re to accept that, and another false premise…that Americans compare to Nazis?

Because we want secure borders? Because we enforce laws Congress created?

Nazis ripped people from their homes, forced them into concentration camps, kept them there against their will, and exterminated them…on a wholesale genocidal basis.

America hasn’t taken anyone from their home…unless you count Democrat-enticing rhetoric that lures thousands from their homes into dangerous long journeys.

Illegal aliens know they’ll be held at detention centers if caught, willingly come here to be caught anyway…but can leave anytime they want to go back to their native lands.

Americans enforcing law are Nazis? Jews are vermin? ISIS is okay?

Seriously?

And yet, the President denouncing such talk deserves Democrat condemnation? Sorry, we don’t buy it. Building outrage based on false premises deserves condemnation.

This Democrat action confirms they, AS A WHOLE, believe we compare to Nazis.

What honest Democrat voter respects this crap from their elected representatives?

As the Left piles on, saying those who support a ‘racist-xenophobe-Nazi’ Trump are also ‘racist-xenophobe-Nazis’…they seem oblivious to the standard set for themselves.

Because, if the name of the game is ‘guilt-by-association’, by such standards that will make every Democrat supporter an anti-Semitic Jew-hater and ISIS/al-Qaeda lover.

Conflating secure-border efforts as racist and xenophobic isn’t dissent.

Conflating patriotism and love of Country as white supremacy isn’t dissent.

Conflating voter ID’s for election integrity as voter suppression isn’t dissent.

We don’t want our President to remain silent when those concepts are attacked.

In his Nobel Prize acceptance speech, Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel said “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere.”

You’d think ‘high-road’ Republicans who always lose elections would’ve woke up.

In the meantime, never fear…your President IS AWAKE.

When elected political representatives attack America’s basic values, failing to openly contest such attacks when they occur is fatal: silence implies consent, tacit approval.

Secure Borders isn’t about xenophobia…it’s about National Security for citizens. Voter ID and a ‘citizenship’ census question isn’t about vote suppression…it’s about Honest Elections. When America’s detractors conflate such issues, America’s leaders can’t remain silent.

Using cries of ‘racist’ to silence opponents is a sure way to spot the liars in the room.

Any personal attack absent proof of ad hominem accusations is a sign of weakness on the part of the accuser. They can’t argue on principle, so resort to personal attacks.

And fools like Tom Arnold must surely know the difference between families being ripped from their homes in 1930s Germany, and ‘families’ storming our border today?

Ilhan Omar, bigoted congressional representative, says Americans are ignorant. As an immigrant from war-torn Somalia, you’d think she’d appreciate her new sanctuary.

Pres Trump let her know that wasn’t proper in a tweet, and social media went loco, so now, he’s the racist bigot xenophobe…but he was the one making a solid argument.
