“Iran deal defenders seem to think that repeating the phrase “stringent and invasive verification procedures” over and over again somehow changes the fact that Iran has said it will never allow inspections of its military sites. If outside inspectors are allowed to examine sites A, B, and C, and not allowed to inspect sites X, Y and Z, where do you think a regime would be tempted to research and develop nuclear weapons? This is like saying to a search warrant, “officer, you can look anywhere in my house except my bedroom.”” (emphasis added)

As the FakeNews media swoon with joy over Mueller’s subpoena talk, it’s evident that the time has come for President Trump to get tough with the special counsel.

After all, everyone knows 1) ‘collusion’ is not illegal, absent crime; 2) a special counsel appointment requires a crime for justification; 3) the leader of the Executive branch can fire any appointee in that branch (and last time we checked, the President is ‘leader’).

And, 4) a special counsel’s activities are supposed to remain confidential, and (last time we checked) shooting off one’s mouth about grand jury subpoenas violates that ethic.

If Mueller wants to pander to FakeNews, he should face the music…the President could

• ask Mueller what LEGITIMATE foundation he has to exist as special counsel;
• ask Mueller why he thinks he’s above the very laws he’s supposed to follow;
• ask Mueller why he’s done nothing, where REAL collusion and election tampering exists…with the DNC, Hillary’s campaign, FusionGPS, and the dossier creator.

Finally…

Mr. Trump should demand to know what – if any – legitimate basis Mueller thinks he has that possibly justifies continuing this costly taxpayer funded fiasco built on a hoax…

…or justifies Mueller’s bluster over issuing a subpoena against a sitting President.

Show the crime…or stop wasting our time.
