Changing the name to fit the ‘unemployment rate’ game

The federal government counts only those seeking work as part of the ‘unemployment’ rate. Chronic unemployed, who stop looking for work, are no longer counted.

Why call it an ‘unemployment’ rate, if millions of unemployed aren’t counted?

Overstating “the health of the American labor market” is a huge disservice to all. The only reason it’s done by the political Party in power is to gain favor…and votes. If a private corporation overstated its business health, to garner shareholder approval or encourage investing, it would be fraud…corporate officers would face felony charges.

In your personal life, if the husband failed to admit they lost their job and let the family continue to make financial decisions as if both were employed, there’d be hell to pay. Extend that to a nation where millions of unemployed are hidden in plain sight.

Only by an honest assessment of the economy can sound policy be made, and an accurate evaluation of our political leadership be determined. Politicians in power seeking to avoid such evaluation benefit from existing ‘unemployment’ reporting.

Stop letting political parties play fast-&-loose with the well-being of our labor market.

Demand they end the confusion; either re-name the statistic a ‘job-seeker’ rate…

…or end the charade, and count ALL the unemployed.

America may yet pay for Obama’s ‘Speak Boastfully, Carry a Big Ego’ sophistry

Some of the best weapons used against our enemies are secrecy and uncertainty.

And, with advanced technologies that include ‘out-of-nowhere’ drone strikes, keeping quiet about strategy and implementation forces your enemy to keep their head down.

Regrettably, with narcissist ‘I-Killed-Usama’ Obama, those options are off the table.

Say what you want about ‘cowboy’ George W, he knew when to keep quiet. Post-9/11, successful (domestic & foreign) covert operations were carried out, without comment.

He understood the ‘speak softly, carry a big stick’ concept Teddy Roosevelt repeated.

Unfortunately for America, Obama uses the Teddy Ruxpin approach to foreign policy, which means, with the slightest prompting, he’ll run off at the mouth about everything.

Even more troubling, his Democrat henchmen aid and abet in that approach.

Telling your enemies about successful operations is not the way to win our security.

When the Teddy Ruxpin doll ran on endlessly, yanking it’s batteries out shut it down.

Sadly, that can’t be done with ‘Here’s-what-I-did’ Obama…or his Democrat cohort.

And America may yet pay the price for that.

War vets know you won’t hear the bullet that kills you – with today’s advanced tech weaponry, terrorists won’t hear the drone that kills them…or know whose drone it is.

Message to Obama…less talk, more drone strikes.

NBC/WSJ poll reveals the seamy side of push-polling…& a Wall Street Journal desertion

Has the Wall Street Journal gone over to the Dark Side?

In a poll (that otherwise seems bad news for Democrats), there’s this push-poll gem…

Page 32 (of 35), the premise states major corporations are trying to lower their tax rate by ‘inversion’ (merging with a foreign company), thus shouldering a lower tax burden.

The question asked if (a) Congress should act to penalize and discourage this behavior, or (b) Congress shouldn’t act since corporations have a duty to lower costs, and grow.

(59% of respondents said Congress should penalize corporations, to stop inversion.)

What the poll didn’t ask (to the Wall Street Journal’s lasting shame) was if Congress should act by LOWERING corporate taxes, to encourage more investment in America.

Lower rates makes them more globally competitive, and more profitable. History proves lowering corporate rates increases tax revenue across the spectrum (ask JFK).

You would think the Wall Street Journal would understand that concept.

This is a perfect example of ‘push-polling’: frame the question and possible answers in such a way to show a majority of Americans are up in arms against greedy capitalists…

…and NEVER offer the most effective solution…

when it supports Republican principles.

Real reason Congressional Republicans have such a low approval rating

Jay Cost points out polling reveals Republicans are to blame for low approval ratings.

POLLED Republicans, that is.

Seems those polled who identify as ‘Republican’ don’t mind expressing disapproval of their own party, when they believe more should be done by their GOP politicians.

If those same Republicans stood shoulder-to-shoulder like the Democrats do when their party is failing, the ‘approval’ number would actually be 2-3 times higher than it is.

Next time you hear the Republican Congress polls below Obama, you’ll know why…

…those polled who self-identify as Republicans are honest.

It appears the same can’t be said about polled Democrats.

Think about it…would any honest American, self-identified as Democrat, really approve of Obama trampling the U.S. Constitution and rule of law, key values for our nation?

Until those polled who self-identify as ‘Democrat’ can reply honestly how appalled they are that Obama is tearing apart the values of our society, his approval ratings are false.

UNLESS there really are that many Democrats who consider such values unimportant.

If the Left claims the Political Correctness mantle…then they own honor killings and rapes

The rape culture that festered unimpeded in Rotherham was product of a PC culture.

Gangs of Pakistani men committed the 1400+ rapes against, primarily, white girls, over a period that spanned 16 years. But little was done, because they were Pakistani men.

Decency, Moral Clarity, and Justice were sacrificed on the altar of Political Correctness.

Dennis Prager writes, “political correctness was created and is sustained by the Left.”

Political correctness forbids judging non-whites, and non-Christians by the same moral standard, and it was that factor which allowed atrocities like Rotherham to continue.

It is the height of hypocrisy for the Left and it’s media foils to blame a PC culture…

…without admitting THEY created and nurture it, even now.
