If there is no voter fraud, as the Left contends, why do they fear an investigation?
Besides…the media’s on their side, they can just make something up.

Besides…the media’s on their side, they can just make something up.
Yesterday, we posted a (tongue-in-cheek) blog on Hillary’s book, and it shows a picture of the front of the book, with what we saw as a ‘Question asked, Answer given’ motif.
The book title “What Happened” was its top half, Hillary as author on the bottom half.
We noted that it wasn’t necessary to even open the book; the cover told us everything we needed to know – What Happened? Hillary Rodham Clinton happened.
Today, Rush Limbaugh ran the very same concept.
(Of course, his segment’s word count was over 5700, ours was 61.)
We could sue for copyright infringement…but the book BEGS a story like ours (and, besides, we’re not even sure Mr. Limbaugh knows BlueCollarPerspective exists).
So, don’t worry, Rush…we’ll keep our legal attack-dogs leashed – for now.
(Lucky for him we only have a monthly budget of $17.99.)
America’s corporate tax rate is 38.9%; only the United Arab Emirates and Puerto Rico have higher rates globally. President Trump wants tax reform to change that, but those opposed want to stop him; their established formula to do that is portray him as a liar.
The FakeNews media knows the best way to take down any given politician is by calling them a liar. So, when talking ‘tax rates’, it’s easy enough to play mathematical Twister by simply choosing a formula that most effectively portrays the President in a bad light.
(Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures…President Trump’s approval ratings are gaining strength, and you know what that means if you’re an anti-Trump’er – time to roll out the big guns again, pump up the volume, take him down to ‘manageable’ size.)
They can’t use the simple data Pres Trump uses, ‘cuz that shows he’s RIGHT…so, they compare based on ‘taxes paid as an average percentage of GDP’, and of course, since we have the per capita largest GDP globally…percentages are magically deflated.
Voila…
…compared to our GDP, the 38.9% corporate tax rate becomes…wait for it…26%!!!
“GDP is the total value of everything produced by all the people and companies in the country.” And, guess what? If we’re a better-than-average producer (which we are), then a percentage of the corporate tax rate COMPARED to GDP will be driven lower.
We Americans could take scads of vacation every year, like our closest productivity competitors – the Europeans; or, we could get paid with bowls of rice instead of money, driving down our consumer spending, like the Chinese…to drive down our GDP.
Then, FakeNews would have to find another formula twist to make Trump a liar. Yeah, defenders of the rich drag out ‘effective’ corporate tax rate arguments, comparing the largest corporations and what they don’t pay in taxes…after enjoying the benefits of tax dodges and loopholes built into the system for them by (wait for it)…Democrats.
(Sadly, mom-n-pop corporations in America get saddled with the actual tax rate, and only the Democrat-enabled Big Corporate Machine pays a lower rate, because that’s what Democrats do – screw the middle-class, while claiming they defend them.)
Point is, they have to go through mathematical gymnastics to get to a final destination, when just admitting Trump’s NOT A LIAR would be the American thing to do.
Hey, when President Trump says we have one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world, we know he’s talking ‘developed’ nations…because only a fool or a Democrat deceitfully conflates the UAE or Puerto Rico as our equals…and only an anti-Trump’er of EITHER stripe will do their damndest to twist percentages…to make him out a liar.
But, you know, at the end of the day that stubborn 38.9% is still there.
Admittedly, we’re not economists…
…but we understand English, we recognize verbal contortionists at play…
…and we don’t mind at all showing our readers who the REAL LIARS are in the room.
America became a world leader because of our work ethic and productive nature. That makes us an unparalleled Nation when it comes to economic comparisons, which can only improve if our world-highest corporate tax rate is lowered.
Sadly, so-called Republican ‘conservative’ anti-Trump’ers (like NRO’s Williamson) will even sacrifice America’s world leadership role, in order to attack President Trump.
Otherwise, why would he almost seem to regret the fact that we Americans don’t have similar incomes to “most of the rest of the developed world”? REALLY??
…it would be one thing – but that’s not who we are…we’re Americans.
OUR rising tide lifts THEIR boats…
…so, please, anti-Trump’ers, find something else to bitch about.
Democrat politicians attack the President’s tax-cuts because they’re in Big Corporate’s pocket, and are paid (through donations) to keep them more competitive…in effect, the Democrats sell out middle-class America for purposes of greed and political longevity.
What’s the anti-Trump Republicans’ motive?
Is Nancy Pelosi historically clueless, or has Botox claimed another victim?
Telling the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus that DREAMers may end up in internment camps is beyond tone-deaf, and conflates Republicans with Democrats.
Sorry Nancy, but that was Democrat policy that interned Japanese during WWII.
Odd, isn’t it, how Democrats seem bound and determined to accuse Republicans of what their Party has done…from slavery to racism to Jim Crow laws…to internment?
Is it possible they learned an alternate history in their schools? Would it be wrong or unkind to suggest mandatory remedial history lessons for Democrat politicians?
There just seems SO MUCH they don’t know about their own Party.
It’s a good thing for Steve Bannon he has a day job at Breitbart.
If political consequences are the real measure of a mistake, unless Republicans lose 1000+ legislative seats and numerous gubernatorial positions ‘cuz Comey was fired, the biggest mistake in modern political history – by a huge margin – was…
…picking Barack Obama as their Democrat presidential candidate in 2008.
Hey, if the size of a mistake is measured by its outcome, firing Comey ain’t even close.
We predict the next ‘biggest mistake’ will be…a no-promises-kept GOP Congress.
(And, someone, please tell Mr. Bannon ankle-biting isn’t a good look for him.)
Why is the Republican-controlled Congress slow-walking FBI political chicanery?
If this is some political dance, timed to help the GOP in mid-term elections, we’ve got news for them. Good luck…because the media never cooperates, and Republicans aren’t good at Democrat tactics anyway. Just get the probe investigation done.
The FBI was considered the premier law enforcement agency in America, but since it’s been weaponized by Democrats, it’s taken on the look of a seedy gum-shoe co-op.
First, they take the word of a Democrat-bought private group (CrowdStrike) claiming a pre-election DNC ‘hack’ was done by Russians – without looking at evidence – then use the Democrat-paid FusionGPS creation of a ‘dossier’ to investigate Pres. Trump.
The longer this travesty is drawn out, the more it plays to Democrats’ favor. It’s obvious that Comey was their political puppet, and it’s just as obvious that issues of Russian ‘hacks’ and Trump-collusion are Democrat-funded ploys of the most transparent kind.
No serious-minded American believes that a non-political FBI would ever use the word of non-agency politically controlled groups to control/divert that agency’s investigations. No evidence has been presented for public review, and the FBI’s never been allowed to look at (or otherwise analyze) the DNC server that was claimed to be ‘hacked’.
Former intelligence experts agree this is all a lying fabrication, so why the delay?
Stop trying to play their timing games – expose the FBI chicanery NOW.
Judging by first reviews, Hillary Clinton’s blamed everyone and every thing for defeat…
…except, of course, the real culprit…
…Hillary ‘What Emails, It-Was-A-Video, What-Difference-Does-It-Make’ Clinton.
Democrats must be ssoooo proud.
American Spectator has a great article on reasons to reform the corporate tax code.
The tax code as written unfairly benefits the big corporations at the expense of their smaller competition that can’t afford the lobbyists and lawyers needed to push for huge tax-breaks, carve-outs, and favorable loans and loan guarantees…defined as cronyism.
“A 2015 report found that, over the previous 15 years, Congress doled out more than $68 billion in corporate welfare through targeted tax breaks and grants. This amount does not even include the trillions of dollars that Congress has offered out in favorable loans and loan guarantees.
This same report also highlights another issue with the current tax cut-dependent system. Approximately 67 percent of the grants and tax breaks went to a small group of 582 large corporations, and 21 corporations received $500 million or more. Many smaller corporations cannot afford armies of lobbyists, and therefore are left out in the cold when Congress starts crafting tax breaks.” (bold & underline emphasis added)
One guess which Party gets the lion’s share of donations from those 582 corporations?
That’s right – the same Party bemoaning corporate tax code reform as favoring the rich.
A flat 15% rate without carve-outs puts every corporation on a more level playing field, and cuts back on the huge costs of legal teams massed to deal with existing code – so more funds can be used to invest in corporate growth…rather than tax-dodging.
If saving $68 billion isn’t enough reason for code reform…
…who would argue with less money going to tax-lawyers?
(Other than the Democrats, of course.)
One can only hope the doomsday polling that shows voter anger is noticed in DC.
Republican voters are tired of their congressman playing small ball. It’s almost as if they think winning majority control is the end-game, rather than keeping campaign promises that got them into Congress in the first place.
We don’t know of any GOP politician whose campaign ran on ‘send me to Congress so I can sit in the driver’s seat’…we heard Obamacare and DREAMer repeal, and grow-economy or tax-reform promises…but no ‘I want power but won’t use it‘ rhetoric.
So far, this GOP Congress is guilty of dereliction-of-duty, and, sadly, it looks like they’re in no hurry to change that any time soon. Good news is this President is a take-charge kind of guy, and will work what deals he can to get done what’s in his power to do.
There is one Tripwire that will signal Republicans have developed a will to win…getting rid of the Filibuster that requires 60 votes to pass. If the GOP forces a 51-vote simple majority to pass legislation, it could just signal they have found some backbone.
But in the meantime, President Trump is all we have.
