PJ Media‘s Klavan nails it in his article yesterday…

“…after twenty years of insults, twenty years of bias, twenty years of hating people for being white or male or straight or loyal to constitutional principles — twenty years at least — the press — the media in general — have no claim to respect. They’re going to have to earn that back one honest story at a time.” (bold emphasis added)

We would suggest it’s more like 50 years…but, otherwise, his point is dead on.

Never thought the day would come when criticism would be earned by Donald Lambro, Washington Times syndicated columnist and contributor, once a straight shooter.

But, sadly, his column today is built on a false premise and deserves to be challenged.

In the first sentence, he says “President Trump, who has been relentlessly criticized by the national news media, has declared them to be ‘the enemy of the people.’ “ and then, built on that false premise, writes strongly about the need for a free press.

Mr. Lambro, the President specifically says ‘FakeNews is the enemy of the people’…not media in general; it’s disconcerting that so capable a columnist would not see that.

A free press is vital…a LYING press is disgraceful…

…and that LYING press deserves to be ‘relentlessly criticized’ as well, sir.

It remains a mystery why Senate Republicans are allowing Democrat stonewall tactics, by asking for documents during his pre-’06 time as legal counsel for George W. Bush…

…because he was confirmed to the DC Circuit Court BY THE SENATE 57-36 in 2006!

(Which means, for those people living in CLUELESSVILLE, his pre-circuit court days were already reviewed by the Senate, and shouldn’t have to be reviewed again.)

Then there’s this – of the Democrat Senators who voted to confirm Kavanaugh to the DC Circuit Court, only one is left in the Senate, and he won’t vote for him this time.

Since all Republican senators will OK him, why let Democrats play this game?

What better way to make sure you have access to all that incriminating evidence that needs to go down the memory hole, than by keeping and expanding access to it?

They were sure Hillary would win, and their lawlessness would be ‘vanished’.

When she lost, their illegal acts had to be memory-holed…FAST.

What better way, than to concoct a Trump-Russia hoax, demand a special counsel with unlimited access to data…and use that access to vanish all trace of their chicanery?

Over the years, we’ve agreed with the Weekly Standard views more often than not.

No longer – sadly, their Trump Derangement fervor has diseased their view.

A Fox News headline says it all: “CNN’s Acosta Challenges Sanders to Declare Media Is Not the ‘Enemy of the People’ “

H-E-L-L-O. President Trump said FAKENEWS MEDIA is an enemy of the people.

Message to Jim Acosta, CNN’s rat-terrier-at-large…

…your challenge falsely implies Trump included all media, in a comment clearly targeting outlets pushing fake news. Jim – ‘Falsely implies’ amounts to Fake News.

Does Acosta and his CNN ilk believe Americans can’t see what’s being done everyday, or do we need to explain how Trump’s approval ratings keep RISING…(now 50%)…

…even as CNN’s rating SINKS?

Teachable Moment? We think so.

The Hill headline… “Ivanka Trump breaks with dad: ‘I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people'” Unnhhh…sorry, that doesn’t mean she breaks with dad.

‘Dad’ (President Trump) said FakeNews media was the enemy of the people.

But, for the Left and their Trump Derangement Syndrome, any chance to try demeaning and diminishing this President will do…how can a little creativity hurt, anyway?

Even conservative outlets fall into the trap, judging by this Daily Caller headline:

Again, not sure why they would want to perpetuate the ‘split’ but, in addition to our note above on media, as for separating illegal alien families, she simply tweeted…

“…I am very vehemently against family separation and the separation of parents and children…immigration is incredibly complex as a topic.”

We challenge ANY media outlet to show where the President has stated he likes the separation of families at the borders: he has been unwavering in his challenge to Congress to fix the flawed immigration system Obama made worse…and…

…HE INHERITED. Lest we forget, his job is to enforce the laws Congress CREATED.

We understand why the Left blares FakeNews about Ivanka breaking with her dad…

…but we’re flummoxed as to why conservative outlets would push such a hoax as well?

Sean Hannity’s an opinion commentator…Jim Acosta’s a ‘journalist’.

One is a talk-show host, with an opinion of what’s happening. Those who don’t agree with what he’s saying can call it propaganda…but he never claims to call it ‘news’ and those who are watching his segments understand where he’s coming from.

The other is supposed to report ‘the news’. He claims it’s news…yet night after night, he and his CNN cohort are exposed slanting news, leaving out context, or fabricating.

Those tuning in to Hannity know they’re viewing an opinion show.

Those tuning in to CNN (not many left doing so) think they’re watching news.

Big difference, Jim. But maybe you already know that, and decided to slant anyway?

Of course, viewership should tell you something…but, looks like you’re not listening.

The People’s Republic of San Francisco may yet regret getting what they ask for.

Those residents could learn something from Ben Franklin, who said “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.”

Money, municipal largesse…whatever…once able to vote, illegals may end up running the sanctuary. ‘Riding the tiger’ of illegal voters could bite them in the butt…big time.

(But we couldn’t think of a better city it could happen to, in the scheme of things.)

Their hypocrisy REEKS.

We know of one incidence of attacks on journalists, and that was a long-term feud. But we are hearing on a DAILY basis of attacks against Trump supporters and Republicans.

Yet…

The Washington Times headline…“Dan Rather: ‘Trump will be personally accountable’ for violence against the press”

Question for Dan Rather – will the ‘press’ accept accountability for the over-500 attacks on Trump and Republicans, brought about in large part by FakeNews hate-mongering?
