Sorry folks, but rising incarceration rates aren’t due to ‘benign’ drug offenses

For those who missed it, the Senate held hearings on high incarceration problems, in conjunction with discussions on the Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act.

Obama and the Democrat cohort have pushed a ‘racist’ narrative on incarceration rates, blaming an aggressive war on drugs unfairly targeting the black community.

They would have you believe harmless pot-heads clog up the prison system.

But that’s not true, says an expert on law enforcement and criminal justice.

Statistically, violent crime is the driving factor. The pull quote: “Since 1999, violent offenders have accounted for all the increase in the national prison census.”

Facts are a stubborn thing…trust Democrats trolling for votes to ignore them at will.
