Why the Syrian Head-fake…?

Syria is a non-issue. When terrorists kill terrorists, stay out of their way.

Nothing short of regime change would be significant. Regime change creates a power vacuum, giving organized terror groups an opportunity to seize power (e.g., Egypt).

And regime change invariably calls for boots-on-the-ground. Americans won’t buy it.

Forget about re-establishing credibility. The world won’t stop sneering at this ‘president’.

So why the focus on Syria, by Obama and his subservient media?

Because it distracts from domestic situations. Congress and Obama have until the end of September to work out a Continuing Resolution deal, or cause a gov’t shutdown.

Americans are begging Congress to stop Obamacare, and House Republicans could put Obama inside a box by introducing Continuing Resolutions without O-care funding.

The longer Obama can keep Republicans distracted with Syria, the less time is given to thorny domestic issues. At the last minute Obama and media lapdogs can point fingers at the GOP, and accuse them of the failure to focus on America’s economic difficulties.

Syria is NOT a National Security issue, but pressing domestic economic issues ARE.

This is a head-fake by Obama, not deserving the attention his media is giving the issue.

Back-burner Syria, and get on with the important problems facing America.
