An FBI agent has reportedly advised congressional hearings of a shady practice; the Justice Dept and FBI have leaked stories, then used the resulting reporting as a second source, in order to justify FISA warrant applications to surveil American citizens.

Got that? They can’t get a FISA warrant with original information, so the DOJ and FBI leak the original information, it gets reported, then the report corroborates the original.

Which shreds the 4th Amendment: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
