What they won’t tell you about the employer-mandate delay…

Obama and Democrats are downplaying the suspension of the Obamacare employer mandate enforcement, by claiming it only affects a small number of employers.

According to the US Census, employers of 50+ make up only 3.7% of businesses.

So, yeah, it affects a ‘small number’ of employers…but…that’s not the relevant issue.

What they won’t tell you is, those 3.7% of businesses employ a huge 72% of the private workforce (80.5 million of the total 112 million Americans employed)!

Everyone talks about the ‘burden of reporting’ which Obama’s suspension will relieve on businesses, but there are other, bigger, issues at play here, and THEY KNOW IT!

As Capretta notes, the suspended employer mandate also suspends the ‘firewall’ in place to prevent employers from dumping employees into Obamacare exchanges.

Businesses average a cost of $4600-per-employee annually to provide healthcare. The fine for not providing healthcare for 50+ employers is $2k per employee.

An employer saves $2600 per employee to dump covered workers into Obamacare!

Do the math…

If you owned a business employing 50 people and could save $130k per year, and knew Obamacare would cover your employees, what would you do?
