Smell tests being what they are…

Sadly, there’s never a polygraph machine around when you need it…

Friday, the President used a solemn venue to speak on his favorite subject…himself.

And – true to form (being the classy guy that he is) – wasted no time bashing political opponent Republicans by invoking the Watergate hearings as a childhood memory.

And that’s when a BlueCollarPerspective (BCP) polygraph machine would have come in handy.

Taking his most notable comments (as posted on the White House blog)…

“I learned how our democracy was supposed to work…”

BCP – so, Mr. President, you’ve said your election is proof of a mandate…but the 230+ House Republicans – who also won their elections – don’t have a mandate? Is that your idea of how a democracy works – your election counts… theirs doesn’t?

“…that we had a system of government where nobody is above the law…”

BCP – Mr. Obama, does that exclude tax-cheating cabinet members like your Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner? Does that exclude Black Panther members found guilty of voter intimidation, yet inexplicably exonerated by your Attorney General? Does that exclude you, ignoring the Constitution by making illegal recess appointments…?

“…where we have an obligation to hold each other accountable…”

BCP – Sir, you’re hiding your involvement in Fast-&-Furious gunrunning behind your Attorney General; you’re hiding your Benghazi, Libya failures and deceit behind the skirts of U.N. Amb. Susan Rice and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Accountability?

“…these things that we stand for, these ideals that we hold dear are bigger than any one person or party or politician…”

BCP – Mr. President, you’ve trampled 200 years of property rights for union cronies, threatened to send intimidating hooligans to private business leaders’ homes, and incited supporters to consider members of the loyal opposition party as ‘enemies’…

Do you honestly believe that decent Americans hold those ‘ideals’ dear…?

Hearing this narcissistic self-serving, dishonest patter, you wouldn’t have known the President was speaking at a funeral…

Is it too much to ask that a United States President at least act…presidential?

And, please…who has fond memories of Congressional hearings… as an 11-year old?
