‘Empty barrels’ that only a race-baiter can find ‘racist’

Race-baiter Frederica Wilson personifies an empty barrel…and a race-baiter.

Quick – someone find a reputable dictionary defining ’empty barrel’ as racist. If you fail, don’t blame yourself – there is no reputable dictionary (or thesaurus, for that matter) that defines the phrase ’empty barrel’…let alone in terms of racist derogatory fashion.

Evidently, only in the race-baiter dictionary is there such a definition; we’re assuming Frederica Wilson, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton keep theirs within arms reach.

But, anyone who ever rolled a barrel knows empty ones make the most noise. And any reasonable search for an ’empty barrel’ reference comes up with that simile.

The oldest source of the term seems to be Plato, who’s quoted saying an empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so, they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.

Which means Plato had a few Frederica Wilsons to deal with, too.

It was ever thus.
