It’s time for the President to terminate the Mueller fiasco. This ‘special counsel’ has had a year’s worth of FBI investigating and assembled a high-priced stable of Democrat lawyers who are doing nothing but draining tax dollars that could be used elsewhere.
President Trump has put up with this long enough – the Dep’t of Justice works under his Executive branch of government, and he should direct the probe to be wound down.
He should order Mueller to turn over RELEVANT data to the Congress, and disband this cadre of lawyers – or tell the Congress if they want, they can hire (and pay for) them.
And the FBI should be swept clean of the deep-state appointees dug in at the top of that organization immediately – it’s way past time for this kabuki theater to end. C’mon guys, now they’re talking about our tax dollars paying for a Mueller-led lawyer to research the possibility of stopping the President from issuing pardons he has the power to issue.
Headline: “Mueller Tasks an Adviser With Getting Ahead of Pre-Emptive Pardons”
Got that? Mueller works for the Dept of Justice, UNDER President Trump…and he and his legal cohort are actively seeking a means to negate presidential powers?
Where does this end?
The U.S. Constitution, Article II, section 2, subsection 1 plainly states “…he (the President) shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” (bold emphasis added)
This is unequivocal. Why should the American taxpayers fund a high-priced lawyer in an effort to research and build an argument that is fundamentally Unconstitutional? If for no other reason than this clear abuse of special-counsel gamesmanship, shut it down.
- There’s NO crime in building opposition research during campaigns;
- There’s NO evidence that any crime has been committed;
- There’s NO justification to this ‘special counsel’ construct;
- There’s NO reason to WASTE tax dollars any longer.
Our Constitution has a clear and effective checks-and-balances system in place so that each branch of government can properly and legally ‘check’ other branches. It’s worked for over 230 years, and it’s high time to stop political posturing and let that system work.
This special-counsel idiocy has mis-spent millions of tax dollars already. It’s far beyond hypocrisy to point out that the Democrat presidents had no problem pardoning actual convicted criminals, unlike this situation…where there’s NO EVIDENCE of a crime.
Shut it down, send relevant data to Congress if needed, but get on with real business.
